BSA produced a number of V Twins in both overhead (OHV) and side valve models. This machine is quite rare as the OHV engine was only produced in the 500 cc form for two years before being increased to 750 cc
Originally designed for sale to the military, it was rejected as being too complcated and costly. As a result, it was sold on the civilian market.
